Smartlocks
Installation of a smart lock will allow you to control the access to your property. You can remotely let them in, set key codes for specific times for both the customer and cleaners and log them for future reference.
Intercoms
These play a role with smartlocks to allow you to communicate with anyone at the door from anywhere around the world. Most now come with many features including, facial recording, automated responses and ability to record.
IP Cameras
These are not your everyday camera, but are connected to your WiFi system to allow full control remotely as well as on and off site recording. Most are now 1080P minimum so the picture is crisp and clear to allow close in zooming
Alarm System
Today’s alarm systems give you the flexibility to remotely lock, unlock and set temporary passwords for each client that is booked in. This allows you to ensure that your property is locked and safe where ever you are in the world!
Automatic Gates
If you have a mechanical gate, or are thinking of getting one, adding automatic control is a no brainer. Like smart locks you can control the gate when your customers come in and makes the process easier for them to access your property. Combined with a security camera, you have total control of who is accessing the property.
WiFi
WiFi is incredibly important in any Airbnb from a customer experience. Nothing is more frustrating for a customer than to have “dead spots” in the WIFI network on your property. At Smart Installations we have an array of solutions that will satisfy your customers.
Also if you have your Airbnb in a separate dwelling on the same property we can link this to your main houses internet and have it securely separated which will save you the cost of another connection.
Centralised TV and AV
Having a simple, fool proof AV and music system will ensure that your customers can access the entertainment systems with ease. Connecting to Streaming services, movies, Sky, their own movies and music on their devices is essential.
The real magic! Combining these all through home automation
While the above are all very good on their own, the real power comes when you combine them together. An example is the Lock and the intercom, by having these all in control via an integrated home automation system like Control4 you can easily listen to the conversation and open the door all in the same app. To extend this further, the system can be programmed when the door is unlocked the lights automatically come on and the welcome message can start playing a few minutes later on the first visit. You can also have a button by the door that is simply labelled “leaving”. By pushing this simple button, the house turns off all the lights, TV, Music, closes the curtains and set the alarm to arm itself in 1 minute! It is as simple as that. No need to worry about the tenant leaving your precious house unsecured.
